With over 30 years of expertise in aircraft maintenance management, Eric Tembo is a distinguished aviation professional dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality. As Director of Maintenance at Alkebulan Airlines, he oversees comprehensive aircraft maintenance operations, drawing on his extensive experience managing diverse fleets and maintenance projects across Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. A Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with certifications in B1 Aircraft and Engines, Eric’s education spans Aeronautical Engineering at Air University of Perth, Scotland, and advanced ICAO training in Lebanon, India, and Ireland.
Eric’s career highlights include serving as Maintenance Control Manager for Global Jet Dubai, Project Manager for B707 D check maintenance at Denel Aviation, South Africa, and Superintendent at Zambia Airways. Renowned for his expertise in engine performance, aircraft weight and balance, and aviation manuals development, he has significantly contributed to the industry by developing C check maintenance capabilities, refurbishing aircraft like the HS 748 and ATR 42, and consulting on the formation of New Zambia Airways. Driven by a vision to position Alkebulan Airlines as a leading regional maintenance hub, Eric champions safety excellence, innovative solutions, and continuous growth.
